AIXAM was the first manufacturer of quadricylce
vehicles to worry about the safety of the users.
Since 1988, Aixam has successfully subjected all
its models to crash tests, (head-on, side and rear collisions)
even though the regulations do not require this.
AIXAM is the only manufacturer of quadricycles to have successfully
passed all these tests.
This extreme requirement enables AIXAM users to
drive in safe and comfortable vehicles with the maximum peace
of mind.
The ACTIVE safety
This is about developing a vehicle to obtain impeccable
road holding so that it obeys all the manoeuvres required by the
driver perfectly. For this the vehicles are subjected to 3 tests

The PASSIVE safety
This consists of giving the occupant the maximum protection in
the case of impact. There is only one way to do this: the crash
tests.
Today, the major car manufacturers use flexible plastic parts
more and more. These materials enable small impacts to be absorbed
without the necessity for any body work as the material goes back
to its original shape after a slight bump.
This does not affect the strength of the survival cell should
there be a major impact. The hardness of the body is not, therefore,
a sign of its safety.
To go even further and provide the maximum safety for you, Aixam
has designed new headlights which include the automatic lighting
of hazard warning lights if there is heavy braking with rapid
deceleration. |
